Everyone on the December 18 episode of The Young and the Restless is plotting against Victor, against Phyllis, against Cane, against… the internet. Victor knows he’s the smartest person in any room, so he isn’t worried. Jack is angry and motivated to strike back hard. Phyllis is suddenly popular as everyone wants to strike up an alliance with her. However, there is one weapon Cane has that none of the others do. And he’s got to use it eventually.
Key Takeaways
- Phyllis stole the program.
- Victor used the program.
- Cane is the only one who knows where it came from.
Stealing Home
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is the world’s best hacker. She stole Cane’s (Billy Flynn) super, secret, all-powerful AI program from him. Yup. She stole the whole thing. Because a computer program is a tangible thing you can put in your purse, and it’s not something that can be copied infinitely.
Now Cane doesn’t have it anymore. Like she broke into his house and took his VCR.
Second Hand Goods
And Phyllis handed the program over to Victor (Eric Braeden); it was still a tangible thing. She didn’t make a copy of it. Even though she is so, so smart.
And now that Victor has it, Jack (Peter Bergman) is looking to get it away from him. So he can destroy it. Because that is something you can do with a computer program.
Engineering School
Cane owned the program. But he didn’t build the program, right? If he built it once, then he could just build it again, right? But if he didn’t build it, then he hired someone else to do it.
What is stopping Cane from going back to those people? Who likely has a copy of their work. Or, if they don’t, they can rebuild it again. And hand it off to Cane. Again. And he can then use it to break into Newman Enterprises and do to Victor what Victor did to Cane.
Phyllis should know this. Cane should know this. So what are they waiting for?
