Young and the Restless’ Camryn Grimes Says ‘Bad Vibes’ Led To Her Leaving A Platform

Camryn Grimes has dealt with her share of negativity on social media, but she won’t stand for it anymore. The Young and the Restless star caught wind of the “bad vibes” present on one platform, which led her to delete her social media account.

No More Bad Vibes

Grimes took to her Instagram Stories to share an update with her fans. She announced that she left X, formerly Twitter. This is not surprising. Users are fleeing Elon Musk’s X platform in droves. Most have ended up on either Bluesky or Threads. 

Grimes also received “bad vibes” from X. She announced that she quit the platform because she couldn’t stand the negativity anymore. In a video posted to her Instagram Stories, Grimes explained the reason behind her move. 

“I just want to say that I’m not on Twitter anymore. I did it a little bit ago, but I didn’t say anything ’cause life, but yeah, I got off Twitter just ’cause it became a really weird place, to be honest,” the soap star explained. 

For now, Grimes will share updates on her Instagram and TikTok accounts. She joked that “probably none of you care” and that this was “kind of a nothing announcement.” But she wanted to spread the word in case some of her fans wondered why she wasn’t posting on X anymore. 

Social Media Warning

Grimes also warned her followers about celebrity imposter scams. Her co-star Courtney Hope (Sally) recently warned fans about a fake account created under her name on Threads. (Check out Hope’s Warning Here.) 

In the meantime, Grimes warned fans not to follow similar accounts on X. This could happen now that she’s left the platform. She caught herself calling the platform Twitter. “I’m not on Twitter, or it’s not Twitter anymore, but you know what I’m talking about. It’s X, but anyway, have a good night,” she concluded. 

Grimes will remain active on social media. She clearly loves to engage with her fans. However, there are times when she encounters trolls. She recently found fans making rude comments about her son, Bridger Elias. Unfortunately, being in the public eye makes her prone to criticism and negativity.
