Soap fans thought they had already watched Tristan Rogers’ final scenes when he returned to General Hospital last month. However, that was not the case, and The Young and the Restless just aired Rogers’ last soap scenes.
Billy Flynn Speaks Out
Rogers reprised the role of Colin Atkinson for one goodbye episode. Y&R viewers watched as Cane (Billy Flynn) remembered conversations with his ailing father.
Those flashbacks were tear-jerkers and not just for fans. Ahead of the episode, Flynn used Instagram Stories to reflect on working with Rogers.
“Tomorrow is a very special episode. I didn’t know Tristan as well as Daniel or the rest of the cast that were lucky enough to know him over the years. I am grateful and honored to have worked with such an amazing man and brilliant actor,” Flynn wrote in white letting on a black screen.

Y&R also honored Rogers following the episode with a card featuring his picture and reading, “In Loving Memory of Tristan Rogers 1946-2025.”
The episode comes just months after Flynn took over the role of Cane, previously portrayed by GH star Daniel Godard (Dalton). It was a pleasant surprise to learn that Y&R fans would get scenes with Flynn and Rogers following the latter’s death.
