Billy has another of his brilliant plans on The Young and the Restless. Right after he’s changed the name of Chancellor Industries to Abbott Chancellor, he’s going to pretend to step back from the company. And he’s going to use Jill’s illness as his excuse. One tiny problem, though. Jill was clear about wanting her heart condition kept secret.
So if she doesn’t let Billy spill the beans, his brilliant plan is dead in the water. Billy can’t cross his mom. She’s the one who gave him a company to run in the first place. But he still needs an excuse to step back at Abbott Chancellor and pull strings behind the scenes.
Connor (Judah Mackey — who talked about OCD) is finally back in Genoa City. Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) are again reminding him he’s an amazing human. Connor, for his part, explained to Chelsea that he wants to keep his recent treatment for OCD under wraps, which is completely legitimate and one of the most reasonable requests he’s ever made.
But if Billy (Jason Thompson) can’t use Jill’s (Jess Walton) illness to move his agenda forward, how about Connor’s? Could that serve as a reason for Billy to take a step back from work?
Victor (Eric Braeden — who surprised fans) was already making noises about Billy being Connor’s stepfather on the August 12 episode of Y&R. Adam said Billy was just supporting Chelsea.
So what if, to support Chelsea, Billy needs to step back from his public position at Abbott Chancellor? Jill won’t let him blab that she’s sick. But Connor is a kid. Kids don’t get a vote. How long until Billy goes to the press with the sad, tragic, yet ultimately sympathetic story of poor, sick, sad Connor and how badly he needs his mom’s boyfriend around to recover? Just what the doctor ordered.
Does this seem like something Billy would do? Of course, this all presumes that Billy and Chelsea stay together for a bit longer, and she doesn’t spill the beans about cheating with Adam.
