Young and the Restless Alum Chris McKenna Welcomes A Precious Addition To His Family

It’s been a while since Chris McKenna played Detective Harding on The Young and the Restless. The One Life to Live alum McKenna and his wife, Lovisa Jansson, recently announced the birth of their first child. (Check out Soap Hub‘s reporting of their gender reveal.)

It’s a Boy

McKenna took to Instagram to tell the world that Jansson gave birth to their son, Spencer J. McKenna, on July 26. He shared a series of photos of the sweet baby boy. “Introducing Spencer J. McKenna, born 7/26/24,” wrote the actor. “My incredible wife [Lovisa Jansson] begged out of these photos but she was absolutely amazing. ❤️❤️❤️”

McKenna’s former co-stars chimed in with their congratulations and well wishes. Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher) wrote, “Dude! Huge congrats to you all! Incredible. 😍” Barbara Crampton (Leanna Love) simply replied, “Yay!!!”

Days of our Lives star Kennedy Garcia (who has a special Y&R connection) wrote, “Congratulations!!!!”

Just a couple of weeks ago, McKenna shared a post of he and his expecting wife, anticipating the joy of their son’s birth. “Looking forward to the next chapter with the most amazing woman I know. You’ve been so strong, brave, brilliant, and more beautiful than ever throughout this. So proud of you and the mother you already are. 📸 [Kyle Howard].”

The couple also celebrated with a beautiful yellow-themed baby shower about 8 weeks ago, which you can see below.
