Alyvia Alyn Lind is best known by soap fans for her role as Faith Newman on The Young and the Restless. But after her departure in 2021, she’s taking Hollywood by storm. Her next role will have her with two of Tinseltown’s esteemed stars.

Key Takeaways

  • Lind played Sharon and Nick’s daughter, Faith, on Y&R.
  • The actress has had many projects since her departure from Y&R.
  • Lind’s latest role will have her working with two Oscar-winning actresses.

In Good Company

Lind won viewers over with her performance as Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) daughter on Y&R. It wasn’t long until Hollywood took notice and the actress was booked for other gigs. Some of her roles included the movie Blended and a young Dolly Parton in Coat of Many Colors.

After leaving Y&R, Lind’s career has continued to skyrocket. The star landed main roles in the Syfy series Chucky and Netflix’s Wayward. But her next role could be her biggest one yet.

As reported by Deadline, Lind will co-star with Oscar winners Olivia Colman and Brie Larson in the FX series Cry Wolf. In the series, Lind plays Mia, a teen who accuses her stepfather of abuse. As Mia’s mother, April (Larson), and the social worker (Colman) investigate the case, the women find themselves pushed to the limit.

No further details have been released about the series, but it’s undoubtedly an exciting opportunity for Lind. Based off of her previous performances, there’s no doubt that she’ll knock it out of the park with this new thriller.

Got to Have Faith

While Lind is becoming Hollywood’s next rising star, to many fans she’ll always be known as Faith. From 2011 to 2021, Lind played Shick’s youngest daughter, who endured many Newman family dramas. Young Faith had to watch her parents’ countless reunions and breakups and was at the center of a heated custody battle.

But one of Faith’s most memorable and emotional storylines came in 2021. Faith became a victim of bullying after a news article broke about Adam (Mark Grossman) kidnapping her as an infant. To cope with the pain, Faith gave in to peer pressure and began drinking.

One evening, Faith stole a bottle of liquor from her grandma, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and took off in her truck. An upset Faith crashed her car and was rushed to the hospital, needing a kidney transplant. Faith’s uncle and kidnapper, Adam, came to her rescue when he donated one of his kidneys.

Lind’s final performance as Faith was praised by fans and soap journalists. It also earned the actress her third Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Younger Performer.
