Up until recently, Melissa Ordway’s The Young and the Restless character Abby was unlucky in love. However, it’s opposite for the actress as she and husband Justin Gaston celebrated a special milestone.
13 Years and Still Going Strong
Ordway and Gaston are one of soap’s cutest real-life couples. The two met in 2010 on the set of the film Escapee and tied the knot two years later. On September 22, they celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary, and Ordway commemorated the special occasion on Instagram.
The actress posted a series of photos featuring their wedding, their daughters, and the early days of their relationship. “It was 2010 when we first met. I called my mom and told her, ‘I’m in love.’ Admittedly, I was enamored by your looks and your smell. What I didn’t know then was that you were more handsome on the inside,” Ordway captioned the post.
She went on to praise Gaston for his talent, humor, and love of family. Ordway gushed that she’s more in love with Gaston than ever, and thanks him for being an amazing dad and husband. “Saying ‘I do’ was the best decision of my life. I love living and laughing through this life with you-you’re my very best friend. Happy 13th Anniversary @jmichaelgaston,” she wrote.
While Ordway found love in real life, it’s been a rocky road for her Y&R character. Abby has gone through two divorces and countless breakups. However, the third time might be the charm now that she’s married to Devon (Bryton James). Things have been going well for Abby and Devon since their 2024 wedding. Yet, one never knows when trouble will arise for Dabby.
Meanwhile, Ordway and Gaston are still going strong after 13 years of marriage. The couple enjoys life in their home in Nashville with their two daughters and their new puppy.
