Mishael Morgan Speaks Out On The Young And The Restless Return

Fans were devastated last year when Hilary Curtis Hamilton passed away on The Young and the Restless. Mishael Morgan left the series and viewers were left with tears in their eyes. Now, there’s some great news for fans of the actress!

After months of speculation, Morgan has announced in a CBS promo that she’s back on YR for good. As viewers saw in today’s episode, Devon (Bryton James) was expecting his meeting with Amanda Sinclair , a lawyer involved with Katherine’s (the late Jeanne Cooper) will. Devon — and viewers — were stunned to see someone at his door that looked like Hilary but may not be.

“I am so happy & honoured to return to #YR. The time off was such a welcomed blessing, as I learned to juggle life, family & career, but I am so happy to be home! I want to take a second and thank all you diehard fans out there, who supported me so fiercely,” Morgan wrote on Instagram.

Devon’s facing two big dramas right now. First, what’s the status of Katherine’s will and is his financial future going to be changed by whatever Amber has to tell him? Second, how will Devon react by seeing a double of the love of his life walking around among the living? This could ultimately affect Devon’s new romance with Elena (Brytni Sarpy).

Mishael Morgan’s return pretty much completes the number of big-name stars who’ve exited YR over the last year or so. The actress joins Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe), Greg Rikaart (Kevin), Eileen Davidson (Ashley), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea), and Doug Davidson (Paul) who either left the show on their own or were dropped to recurring during the show’s last regime.
