On The Young and the Restless, Victor promised his wife that he would step back from work and take it easy, spend more time with her. Victor handed control of his company over to their daughter, Victoria. Well, OK, Victoria blackmailed him into it, but Victor did ultimately hand it over.
The Young and the Restless Polling
Since then, he hasn’t liked how Victoria has been running things. Should he move to take it back? What almost 2,000 viewers told us:
After Everything I Did For You!
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) has been totally ungrateful, a winning 53% of the audience has decided. How dare she have thoughts of her own? Does she not understand that she is not her own person, but a Victor (Eric Braeden) fill-in? Her job is to say, “Yes, Father, of course, Father, you are so wise, Father.” Anything less than that proves she is unfit to rule. Victor needs to step up and show the little brat how it’s done.
Out To Pasture
A smaller 29% of you, on the other hand, are done with Victor and need him to make himself scarce, already. You are retired, dude. You washed your hands of the whole thing. You are still operating in the 20th Century. Do you even know what new media is? Let the young people step up. As Mark Zuckerberg explained, they are just smarter.
Split the Difference
Only 18% voted for Victor and Victoria to become co-CEOs. He has the experience, she has the modernity, and, together, they can take Newman to the top… of whatever it is they make. Since these two can’t live with feeling like a loser if there is ever a winner, the only way to bring peace to the family is for them to share and share-alike. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
