The coronavirus pandemic has caused productions like The Young and the Restless to install special measures to keep their stars safe but that doesn’t mean that actors like Michelle Stafford have to go it alone all the time. In fact, she’s found a way to still enjoy her co-stars at work.
The actress, who brings Phyllis Summers to life, noted that it’s easy to get down during the pandemic but she wanted to perk things up and recently shared a fun image of herself with a couple of her longtime YR co-stars enjoying lunch on Instagram. She insists that they’re still being safe by doing so while socially distanced.
“I posted something earlier about how my babies are growing up and I’m sad and bla bla bla… I deleted,” she revealed. “You don’t need to hear that crap from me. SO many in the world are way sadder these days. For good reason. It was a moment, forgive me. So, I decided to post (in its stead) my 6 feet apart work lunch with the beautiful @traceybregman1 and always dapper @christianjleblanc.”
The actors who portray onscreen marrieds Lauren and Michael, respectively, have been close to Stafford for years both onscreen and off. “We bought food and found a real lovely, comfortable, romantic, iron and cement stairwell to eat on, as all sitting areas have been taken away in LA. We are creatives. We’ll make any area shine! Nothing will keep us down 💪🏻 Let’s continue to make this year shine y’all!! ❤️ #ladiesdays #dontask #YR”
While Phyllis hasn’t gotten to spend much time with either of her besties lately, perhaps this is a sign that’s about to change so stay tuned to find out! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
