After Michael Muhney made his much-publicized exit from The Young and the Restless in 2014, a report surfaced on an entertainment news site that his departure was connected to alleged inappropriate behavior with a co-star.
Now that that performer is back on Y&R, the situation’s being brought up again. Muhney (ex-Adam) has tweeted out to his followers that they stop any harassment of Hunter King (Summer).
TMZ reported that Muhney allegedly groped King, resulting in the show canning the actor after the actress went to producers with her concerns.
Now, Muhney is saying that King never reported anything and should be left alone to do her job!
After exiting Y&R in 2014, Muhney did an exit interview with HuffPost (Canada) giving his side of why he was leaving the show. Since his departure, the actor has appeared on an episode of The Good Doctor on ABC and in the films Correcting Christmas, The Track, and Search Engine.
King left the role of Summer on a contract basis in the summer of 2016 in order to become a series regular on the CBS primetime sitcom Life in Pieces.
When King made the move to night time, she told Soap Hub: “I’m just rolling with it and seeing how it works. I’m a series regular [on Pieces] and recurring at Y&R. We’ll see how the scheduling works out. As long as they’ll have me, I’ll work on both shows. I love being busy!”
After CBS announced Pieces would be a midseason show for the next fall TV season, King’s schedule afforded her the opportunity to spend time back in Genoa City.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
Let me be absolutely clear:
People sending hateful tweets to @HunterHaleyKing about me must STOP. That internet rumor was FALSE. It never happened. She NEVER made those accusations. She’s a talented actress, let her do her job without this nonsense.
Spread love, not hate. ❤
