More Details Emerge on Michael Graziadei’s Y&R Return

Last week Soap Hub reported that two-time Daytime Emmy nominee Michael Graziadei is returning to “Young and the Restless” as Daniel Romalotti Jr. Now, we have some more details about this comeback.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Graziadei’s return is being kept hush-hush by CBS, but rumor has it that it’ll be a shocker of a debut!

When Will Michael Be Back In Genoa City?
The actor’s return will reportedly coincide with Y&R’s 11,000th episode on Sept. 1. He’ll make his formal debut for a limited run on the series beginning Aug. 25.

Daniel Romalotti, Jr. is the adopted son of Danny Romalotti, who was played by Michael Damian and biological son of Phyllis Abbott, currently played by Gina Tognoni.

His character last appeared back in 2013 when Daniel arranged to have his comatose mother, Phyllis, transferred to a facility in Georgia. At the time, Michelle Stafford portrayed Phyllis.

What He’s Been Up To Since Leaving Y&R
Since leaving the CBS soap in 2013, Graziadei appeared in the Lifetime drama series “The Lottery.” He also nabbed a recurring role on the series “Kingdom” alongside singer Nick Jonas.

Graziadei will simultaneously portray a recurring role on the Amazon series “Good Girls Revolt” while also working his “Young and the Restless” stint.

The actor also appeared as Travis Wanderly in “American Horror Story: Murder House.”

“I had no idea what to expect when I was doing it. We had so much freedom to explore and do something different, and we didn’t have anybody telling us what we could or could not do while we were working on that show,” Graziadei said in an interview with Collider.
