By the time Melody Thomas Scott was 23, she had two ex-husbands from marriages that lasted less than a year. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl without the benefit of marriage in a time when single mothers were still stigmatized.
She joined a daytime television serial and married her boss — the shows executive producer — just a few years later.

Thomas Scott, who has reigned as the delicious Nicole “Nikki” Reed Newman on CBS’s The Young and the Restless for 40 years, tweeted that she had committed her life story to print and the book, co-written with Dana L. Davis, will be available to the public via Diversion Books in the upcoming year.
The autobiography promises to give the inside story on Thomas Scotts myriad roles as an actress from her childhood collaboration with Alfred Hitchcock (Marnie) to numerous roles on the silver screen opposite film giants including Kirk Douglas (Posse) and Clint Eastwood (The Beguiled), and, of course her four-decade stint on the number one rated daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless.
