These classic episodes on The Young and the Restless have provided an extra perk for fans — on Tuesday, Melody Thomas Scott tweeted along with the episode as it aired and answered questions along the way. One of the things foremost on everyone’s mind — when will there be new episodes?

While viewers are enjoying the walk down memory lane, they really want to know when the actors will be allowed back at work. The actress did answer a question from Chris Mays, who asked, “Are y’all off work as of now? Once y’all go back then how long til new episodes will air?”

“This is Day 54 for us in quarantine. We have not heard when we will be shooting new episodes. So much is unknown. The lead time for airing new episodes may be different, so I don’t want to set anything in stone. We’d like nothing better than to go back to work,” she admitted.

As of right now, there is still a stay-at-home order in Los Angeles, which would make going to the studio impossible for the actors. In fact, the actress shared that she was at that moment watching California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, in a press conference on TV but continued to answer questions during the allotted time despite the interruption.

But another person on Twitter, Lisa Brock, chimed in with a question on the topic asking, “Hi Melody- when will new episodes resume? Hope you are staying safe.”

The actress answered the only way she could, saying, “We have no idea. Haven’t heard about when we will resume.” A little bit later, Thomas Scott had to run but for a very good reason. “Well, all, I would stay longer, but I have some remote spots to shoot and must put some makeup on!
