Lily’s return has become an unwelcome one on The Young and the Restless. She caused a lot of worry with her disappearance, with her family wondering if they’d ever see her again. Now that the truth about her disappearance is out, everyone, including Cane, is calling her out.

Key Takeaways

  • Lily’s been critical of Cane because of his Aristotle Dumas alter ego.
  • She decided to teach her ex-husband a lesson by faking her kidnapping with Victor’s help.
  • Lily agreed to Victor’s plot in exchange for Chancellor.

Heartless Move

For months, Lily (Christel Khalil) has been constantly judging her ex-husband Cane (Billy Flynn). When Cane returned and revealed himself as mystery businessman Aristotle Dumas, Lily was shocked and angry. Although Cane used his Dumas personality to amass a billion-dollar business empire to provide for his family, Lily didn’t see the good in it.

Lily didn’t hold back in criticizing Cane for being selfish, abandoning his family in favor of power and money. Despite Cane’s attempts to change and win back his wife, Lily wouldn’t give him a chance. And now the tables have turned for Miss Winters.

Lily showed her selfishness and lack of concern for her family due to her plot with Victor (Eric Braeden). Lily wanted to teach Cane a lesson and agreed to go along with The Moustache’s fake kidnapping plot. However, Lily wanted something in return, and that was control of Chancellor.

While Lily was in hiding and making deals with Victor, her family was worried sick. Devon (Bryton James), whose son Dominic (Ethan Ray Clark) was kidnapped, feared the same thing happened to his sister. As Devon and Nate (Sean Dominic) searched for answers, Cane was willing to give in to Victor’s demands in exchange for Lily’s safety.

But now Cane has learned his actions were for nothing, since Lily was in on Victor’s plan. Now that the truth about her kidnapping is out, it’s time for her to face the music.

Karma For Lily

Lily might be regretting her decision to team up with Victor. As expected, Lily isn’t going to get control of Chancellor so easily. Although Victor now has the company back, he told Lily she won’t get it until Newman Enterprises is returned.

So, it appears Lily isn’t going to be in charge of Chancellor anytime soon. But that’s the least of her worries right now.

Devon and Nate are furious at Lily for causing them to worry. Although the two men might forgive Lily eventually, the same can’t be said for Cane.

Upon Lily’s return, Cane didn’t hold back in unleashing his hurt over Lily’s deception. He’s made it clear he’s done and wants nothing to do with her. Cane’s declaration shocked Lily, who seemed upset.

Much like Cane, Lily needs to suffer consequences for her actions. It seems like it’s already happening since she’s not getting Chancellor. But her greatest loss is Cane, who deep down, she still loves, although she won’t admit.
