A trio of Genoa City alums have discovered that life after The Young and the Restless is a rewarding mix of fun, travel, and some high-profile projects.
Here’s a look at how Miles Gaston Villanueva (ex-Luca Santori), Melissa Claire Egan (ex-Chelsea Newman) and Sean Carrigan (ex-Ben “Stitch” Rayburn) have been spending their time since saying goodbye to daytime.
Miles Gaston Villanueva
It’s been two years since Miles Gaston Villanueva wrapped his run as the devious Luca Santori. At the time, the actor was excited for the next chapter in his career, even tweeting that “The future looked bright.” It turned out he was spot on.
Following primetime guest spots, including Jane the Virgin (as Sam) and Rosewood (as Ken Daltry) in 2016, Villanueva landed a lead role in 2017’s Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders, playing homicidal sibling Lyle Menendez. The high-profile mini-series upped his level of celebrity, leading to a recurring gig on 2018’s For The People.
Meanwhile, the actor’s personal life has been proceeding happily. He’s still seeing longtime girlfriend Sabina Zuniga Varela, who he met while co-starring in a production of Water by The Spoonful at TheatreWorks in Palo Alto, California.
Melissa Claire Egan
Since Chelsecon-woman returned to her con-woman roots and split town with her son Connor in February 2018, Melissa Claire Egan has been laying low professionally and making the most of her time off.
Egan took a trip to Spain, followed by one to New Orleans in April.
