Long before there were Abbotts, long before there were Newmans, The Young and the Restless had a core family named Brooks. Stuart Brooks, his wife, Jennifer, and his four daughters, Lauralee (Lorie), Leslie, Chris, and Peggy.

Now, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) have invited Leslie (Janice Lynde) to play at their daughter’s wedding. Would now also be a good time for Leslie to return to Genoa City – and bring her family with her?
A Perfect Match
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has been lonely for much longer than any rich, good-looking bachelor should have to be. And Leslie could be just the solution to his problems.
She is certainly nicer than Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who seems to get a sick thrill out of taunting Jack with what she claims he can never have again. But she has a few secrets in her past, too, which is just how Jack likes his women. Complicated…but not cruel. It could be the Genoa City dynasty pairing we all expected…back in the early 1980s.

The Bad Young and the Restless Sister
Growing up, Leslie was the shy, nervous sister…while Lorie Brooks (Jaime Lyn Bauer) was the reckless, outgoing, bold, and beautiful one. She was also one of the few women to ever get the best of – and dump – Victor. And if Lorie can do that, she can do anything. She should come home, toy with Victor a little, then move on to her sister’s man. It won’t be the first time. Or even the second.
The Next Generation
Chris and Peggy Brooks weren’t nearly the strong presences that Lorie and Leslie proved to be. But Chris has a daughter, Jennifer, and Peggy certainly could have had a kid or two of the past 40 years. These Brooks heirs could be everything the current canvas lacks. And, best of all, they won’t be related to any of them.
