Good news for Neil Winters fans. The Young and the Restless (YR) star Kristoff St. John is returning to the show after a several-month absence!
St. John, a two-time Emmy-winner for his portrayal of Neil Winters, was reporting back for duty in Genoa City and will be back on screen some time next month, according to Entertainment Weekly.
St. John teased the news himself not that long ago, posting a few shots of himself and calling himself “the comeback kid.” He’s also posted other inspiration messages that focus on his emotional healing.
The actor took a break from the top-rated soap last fall to undergo psychiatric treatment following a reported scare. St. John has been grappling with the loss of his son, Julian, who committed suicide in 2015.
Neil’s absence was explained by his son Devon (Bryton James) saying that Neil had gone to New York to look after his other son, Moses, after Moses’ mom and Neil’s ex, Sofia (Julia Pace Mitchell), had been in a car accident.
There’s no word on if Moses will return to the show with Neil, but it’s likely that he’ll pop back up on the canvas as a hunky teenager at some point.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
