Knowing Neil: Do You Miss Him Being On The Young and the Restless?

Watching Neil offering Cane and Devon advice again on The Young and the Restless reminded viewers it had been a while since Lily’s dad was on our screens.

After Ashley (Eileen Davidson) blew him off in order to reproduce Jabot’s cosmetic formulas in Paris, Neil (Kristoff St. John) moved upstate to be closer to Lily (Christel Khalil) while she served her prison sentence.

But can Lily fend for herself? Should Neil return to Genoa City? Over 6,000 fans offered their opinions:

Bring Him Home
We want Neil, 72% of you say. Sure, Lily may need him. But she has Cane (Daniel Goddard), her twins, and her job teaching GED classes in prison.

Devon (Bryton James) needs his dad, too. You may have heard that he is suffering more than anyone in town has ever suffered after losing the love of his life, Hilary (Mishael Morgan).

Plus, his grief is making Devon stupid in business. He’s buying what Ana (Lorna Lott) is selling him about the mystery artist who wrote Fen’s (Zach Tinker) song. And you know that means something shady is going on.

Devon could use a level-headed businessman like his dad back in the day to day operations of Hamilton-Winters. Nate is (Brooks Darnell) going around, offering unsolicited advice to all and sundry just isn’t cutting it.

What’s the Big Neil?
We never noticed he was gone, 28% of the audience confess sheepishly. Neil hasn’t had much to do in years. All his relationships fizzle out. Hilary. Sofia. Ashley.

He spent his last few months getting yelled at by Victor (Eric Braeden). But Victor has plenty of other people for that.

He’s Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) sponsor, but she can’t exactly tell him what’s going on in her life. And, heck, she poured those vodka bottles down the sink all on her own. So, Neil, keep hanging with Lily. We’re good.
