The Young and the Restless (YR) custody battle for Christian didn’t just tear Victor and Nick apart, it affected the entire Newman family.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) was so furious that his father would try to take away his son that he went after the thing Victor (Eric Braeden) loves most. No, not his family, silly. Nick is his family! His company!
Nick leaked information to make Victor look bad, then he made a deal with the companies who dropped him. And he asked Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and Abby (Melissa Ordway) to join him.
He even impersonated the dead JT with a latex mask, perhaps causing him to jump a shark. We’re not sure.
Nick may have ultimately won custody of Christian, but the fact remains, he’s not the tot’s biological father. Adam is. Is now a great time for Adam to return and claim his son – and everything else he thinks he’s got coming?
Stay Away
Nick may have done a terrible thing to Victor – your mileage may vary – but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s been Christian’s father ever since Dylan (Steve Burton) found out he wasn’t.
Christian loves Nick and he doesn’t need a new daddy, 56% of you insist. Adam’s story is over and any return would be a rehash of the past. You’d rather focus on the future.
The Time Is Now
Yes, Adam, please, come home, 43% of the audience pleads. We’ve missed you and we know you’re not dead. Christian needs you. His surrogate mom and dad can never have an even remotely healthy relationship.
So, the time is ripe for you to step in and claim your son – maybe Sharon (Sharon Case), too, while you’re at it.
If you got Christian, you’d automatically get Victor on your side against Nick. And that’s what you’ve always wanted, isn’t it? Plus, Nick needs to be taken down a few pegs. You know no one is allowed to beat Victor for long.
