Two The Young and the Restless stars not only share the same birthday, but they’ve also played a married duo on the show. Former on-screen marrieds Kristoff St. John and Mishael Morgan both had something to celebrate this weekend.
St. John, who plays Neil Winters, has been a Y&R cast member since 1991. He joined the soap after his role as Adam Marshall on the NBC sudser Generations came to an end when the show was canceled.
The actor has been a Genoa City mainstay ever since and has won two Daytime Emmys for his portrayal of Neil. He won for Outstanding Younger Leading Actor in 1992 and Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2008.
Morgan, who plays Hilary, has been on the show since 2012. She first arrived on the scene hoping to enact revenge against Neil, blaming him for the death of her late mother, Rose.
Eventually, Hilary learned that Neil wasn’t at fault for her mom’s untimely death. They wed, but Hilary’s feelings for Devon (Bryton James) led to Hilary and Neil’s divorce.
Morgan received a Daytime Emmy nomination for her work on Y&R this year in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
Recently, Morgan confirmed that she was exiting the top-rated soap after a five-year run.
The actress has also announced that she and her husband, Navid Ali, are expecting their second child, a daughter.
At the same time, Morgan is pregnant on the show, too, now that Hilary and Devon have agreed to co-parent a child.
There’s no word yet on how exactly Hilary will exit the canvas. Perhaps, she and her unborn baby will leave Genoa City, wanting to take a break from the conflict in her life.
