Is Tessa Using Mariah on The Young and the Restless?

Tess and Mariah are at a standstill now on The Young and the Restless, now that Mariah knows Tessa blackmailed her mother.

But, Tessa still insists that she loves Mariah, despite coming to town just to grift money from her family.

Is Tessa truly in love with Mariah, or is she using her for some nefarious reasons? Here’s what 8,000 viewers had to say.

Tessa has always seemed shifty to 86% of you. She was living in her car when she got Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to invite her into the lap of luxury.

Then she lied to Devon (Bryton James) about her song. And then she told Sharon (Sharon Case) that she was assaulted… but she erased the tape which would have backed up her story.

And, after all that, we’re supposed to believe she’s being on the up and up with Mariah now?

Tessa kept whining about how she needs money… but she wouldn’t take Mariah’s money…(She did, however, accept a job from Mariah’s mom, and a subsidized apartment from Mariah’s ex-stepdad).

Tessa may have done all of those things, 13% admit, but she could still be in love with Mariah.

One thing doesn’t preclude the other. Maybe Tessa is just really good at compartmentalizing. She loves Mariah. And she ran a scam.

What, do con artists not deserve love, too? Victor (Eric Braeden) is a horrible person, but everyone goes on and on about how much he loves his family. Same thing. Only different.

Now, it’s up to Mariah to decide if she can ever trust Tessa again considering how much she lies when her lips are moving.
