If everyone on The Young and the Restless (YR) minded his or her own business, Genoa City would be a pretty boring place. Yet, lately, it seems as if Phyllis is taking it to extremes.
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) ignored Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman) warnings and kept investigating Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). Then she decided it was her place to threaten Sharon (Sharon Case) about keeping the secret of Christian’s paternity from Nick (Joshua Morrow).
She also found time to stick her nose into the Jabot/Newman feud via Billy (Jason Thompson), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Jack (Peter Bergman), and Victoria (Amelia Heinle).
Who does Phyllis think she is? Victor (Eric Braeden)? Has Phyllis gone too far? Almost 12000 of our own busybodies shared their opinions.
Get a Life Of Your Own!
Remember how, on Valentine’s Day, Phyllis was so terrified that Billy might propose? (To be fair, he felt the same way about her.)
Could it be, 95% of you wonder, the reason that Phyllis is so over-invested in other people’s lives, these days is because she’s unhappy with her own?
Phyllis doesn’t know exactly what she wants from Billy – except to see him less interested in Victoria’s latest problems – so could that be why she’s so focused on forcing other people to do what she wants? And then there’s the fact that Nick is Phyllis’ ex-husband. Once something was hers, Phyllis isn’t keen on it belonging to anyone else.
Happiness Is
No, no, no, 4% counter. It’s actually the exact opposite. It’s because Phyllis is so happy and comfortable and secure in her relationship with Billy that she’s paying it forward and trying to help others.
Phyllis wants Nick to be happy! Phyllis wants Jack to be happy! Phyllis wants Lauren to be happy! And she wants them all to be happy… her way. Not that there’s anything wrong with that….
