Popular “Young and the Restless” powerhouse, Justin Hartley (Adam), will soon do double duty after landing a role in a new primetime show.
Don’t worry Y&R fans. There are no immediate plans for the actor to leave his soap role. Hartley will bounce between the Y&R set and his new primetime set.
According to Michael Fairman, Hartley’s pilot project “This Is Us” has been picked up by NBC. The series is packed full of big names including superstar Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, and Sterling K. Brown.
The dramedy “follows a unique ensemble whose path cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways.” Oddly enough, several main characters will also share birthdays.
Hartley will play Kevin, a successful, handsome actor who is beyond bored by the single life despite being perceived as the ultimate bachelor.
The series is produced by Dan Fogelman, who created “The Neighbors,” “Galavant” and “Grandfrathered.” He also and wrote the hit movie “Crazy, Stupid Love.”
Hartley joined the cast of Y&R in 2014 as prodigal son Adam Newman. His performance was welcomed by fans and met with rave reviews from the start.
Y&R airs weekdays on CBS. Share your thoughts, leave a comment in the section below. Additionally, for more The Young and the Restless spoilers updates, recaps, and news, go to Soap Hub’s Facebook fanpage and join the conversation about all your favorite soaps!
