Is Theo Right To Be Angry at the Abbotts On The Young and the Restless?

When Theo first showed up on The Young and the Restless, he was just Kyle’s friend from New York who thought that Lola made his best bud boring. He was also helping Kyle cover-up A Big Secret (which was also boring).

But then, out of nowhere – hey, did you know that Dina, the world’s most unmaternal mother also had another child that she gave up for adoption? And that child was Theo’s (Tyler Johnson) late father?

What are the odds! Theo is family! Jack (Peter Bergman) rolled out the welcome wagon! Theo was overwhelmed. And then he tried to steal Kyle’s job. Jack was angry! Then, they kinda-sorta excluded him from everything surrounding Dina’s death. Is Theo right to be pissed at the Abbots this time? What almost 2,000 fans think:

Failed Family

A majority 65% of The Young and the Restless fans are feeling Theo’s pain. The Abbotts didn’t invite him to say goodbye to Dina (Marla Adams), they didn’t give him a trinket from her apparently very meaningful jewel, and they didn’t go out of their way to invite him to Dina’s memorial. Who cares that Theo has, several times, said he felt that Jack was coming on too strong with his one big happy family talk?

They should have been able to read his mind and given him exactly what he wanted when he wanted — how he wanted it. What’s the point of being rich, otherwise?

Hurt Locker

Theo has hurt the Abbotts enough, 35% of the audience counters. They welcomed him with open arms, gave him a job, and called him an Abbott even though he isn’t related to John in the slightest. Theo responded by cheating at work and then moving in on the wife Kyle discarded.

Theo barely knew Dina, and they were within their rights not to call the guy who’d made it clear he wanted nothing to do with his long-lost family. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
