Robert Scott Wilson made a surprise return to Days of Our Lives (DOOL) last year as Sami pulled an unorthodox move to restore her son Will’s memory. Is the actor/model now poised to join The Young and the Restless or The Bold and the Beautiful?
It’s possible. Wilson posted an Instagram video of himself going into some familiar territory — CBS Television City where several shows tape.
“Oh, what do we have here?” a coy Wilson asked rhetorically before turning his camera around to show that he was outside CBS.
Wilson’s certainly familiar with the lot. From 2012-14, he modeled prizes on The Price Is Right as the top-rated series’ first male model. He left the game show in order to take on the role of Ben on DAYS.
Ben appeared to lack a meaty story until the show decided to make him a killer. It’s often a thankless role once that happens, but Wilson earned rave reviews for his compelling performances as a deranged young man who murdered a few Salem residents.
It’s anyone’s guess as to what brought Wilson back to CBS. Perhaps he was visiting some game show pals — or maybe he was headed to Y&R’s casting department to read for the role of Caleb, who is described as “smart, ambitious and has a rebellious streak”?
Wilson’s other acting credits include playing a Forrester employee in 2013 on The Bold and the Beautiful. The same year, he appeared as Pete Cortlandt, Palmer and Opal’s son, on The Online Network’s revival of All My Children. During that run, Pete and Colby (Brooke Newton) shared a racy sex scene that got the web series some headlines.
Any soap would be lucky to get this talented actor to join its cast. Stay tuned for updates to see if Wilson does indeed end up calling Genoa City his new home.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
