After weeks of introspection and sharing with confidante Kevin about her feelings for Tessa, The Young and the Restless‘ Mariah finally put it on the table with the up-and-coming singer. Where does their relationship, if indeed it is one, stand?
Soap Hub asked Y&R viewers if they think Mariah’s been too demanding of Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), and you weighed in with your responses!
Taking Tessa To Task
Most of you, 75%, think that Mariah (Camryn Grimes) wants too much from Tessa. But in fairness, doesn’t she have a right to express her feelings and let Tessa know how important she is to her?
We get the impression that Tessa is bisexual or “fluid” (or whatever the kids are calling it these days!) and she may flirt with one sex one day, and delve into a more serious commitment with the other sex on the next day.
However, doesn’t Tessa know that perhaps some of this is new to Mariah?
Sharon’s daughter has every right to tell Tessa how she feels and then Tessa can decide — or not — to pursue a relationship with Mariah.

Something To Talk About
The rest of you, 25%, feel that Mariah’s not being too demanding of Tessa. The two have shared a friendship and an intimate moment here and there, so of course Mariah has the right to know where things are going.
No one is saying that Tessa has to return Mariah’s feelings, but she has to realize that she’s left Noah in the dark about her dynamic with his half-sibling.
Y&R’s done a great job of exploring Mariah’s feelings, and if Camryn Grimes (Mariah) isn’t nominated for an Emmy next year there’s simply no justice in the soap world!
But where does Tessa stand? Is she playing games with Mariah….and Noah? Or is she a free-spirit, who doesn’t like to be committed to anyone? Hopefully, these answers are forthcoming!
