The Young and the Restless (YR) fans know the drill. Child goes to boarding school or camp or just to their room… and comes out a few months later a teenager.
It happened to Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nicholas (Joshua Morrow), Abby (Melissa Ordway), Noah (Robert Adamson), and, most recently, Ashby twins Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry).
So you can’t blame fans for wondering if there is an ulterior motive behind Faith’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) going to camp beyond swimming, hiking, and arts and crafts.
Are you ready for an all grown up Faith? Here’s what over 6,000 of you had to say:
Too Good To Grow
The last Genoa City child allowed to grow normally was Sharon’s (Sharon Case) daughter, Cassie, as played by Camryn Grimes from ages seven to fifteen. Then the show killed her off.
Then they regretted their decision and brought Grimes back as her long-lost (and heretofore unknown) twin, Mariah.
We hope The Powers That Be learned from their mistake the first time, as 56% of you think Lind should be allowed to grow in her role, the same way that Grimes did.
Nick and Sharon have enough problems to deal with, without getting a rebellious teen thrust on them. Besides, if Faith is aged, her sniffling and whining over Grandpa Victor (Eric Braeden) won’t be nearly as forgivable.
Peer Pressure
Then again, counter an ornery 44% of viewers, it’s kind of weird to have Mattie and Charlie, and also Reed (Tristan Lake Lebeau) now, in the teen scene, while Faith remains a little girl playing with her pony.
It’s summer, after all, prime bathing suit season.
You’d like to see Faith join the rest of the high-schoolers, maybe give Charlie something to focus on other than Juliet (Laur Allen) lounging by the pool.
Cane (Daniel Goddard) would certainly appreciate that…
