End of the year means report card time, and The Young and the Restless is no exception! Almost 3,000 fans played teacher and voted on the show’s achievement, effort, and behavior for 2016. Did Genoa City go to the top of the class, or were they not working up to their full potential? Here’s what you had to say about it!
C-Level
Uh-oh! Just a little over half, 56%, allowed the show to squeak out a “Gentleman’s C.” That means they passed and won’t have to repeat the grade, but “Average” is hardly what this multi-Emmy winning program is used to. Over 1.500 viewers admitted to feeling disappointed more than once by the stories and the characters. Seems like some extensive tutoring might be an order–STAT!
A-OK!
On the other hand, 24% of you had no qualms about passing out A’s like an Ivy League college famous for its grade inflation. You were proud to list yourselves among those who were thoroughly entertained by all the thrilling storylines and couldn’t wait to see how they would play out in 2017.
Bet you’ll be getting glowing reviews from your students. You’re the kind of teachers everyone dreams of!
B Prepared
A slightly smaller number, 19%, weren’t prepared to go as low as a C, but couldn’t quite bring themselves to brandish an A, either. You settled for a grade of B, conceding that the show was better than average. (Compared to what, though? The other shows currently on the air or The Young and the Restless in its prime?) You liked some stories, but not others.
You’re committed to staying the course and sticking with the show because it still beats what else is out there, but you also have higher expectations heading into the future. Like any good teacher, you’re eager to see what will happen if and when the show just applies itself!
