In the past, when things didn’t go Sharon’s way on The Young and the Restless, she had a tendency to fall apart, lose her mind, and lash out at anyone within spitting distance.
But, last week, when Mariah (Camryn Grimes) told Sharon (Sharon Case) that Nick (Joshua Morrow) cheated on her with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Sharon first did her runway bride act.
Then, she came back, let Nick slobber all over her at the altar, and pulled the rug out from under him. She exposed what she knew in front of the whole church, including a smirking Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott).

Oh, yes, 84% cheer. This is the Sharon that was in there all along. You have to be tough to survive the life she has, going all the way back to her difficult relationship with her mother, giving Cassie up for adoption, getting raped, losing Cassie, losing Christian, losing Dylan (Steve Burton)…
Sharon is tired of being everyone’s favorite doormat. Nick has been the biggest offender, so it’s appropriate that she chose to find her voice after he’d betrayed her for the umpteenth time. Now,let’s hope she keeps it!

Sharon was never cruel, 16% object. And what she did to Nick was cruel. She deliberately embarrassed him. That’s not strength. That’s pettiness. And let’s not forget how she hurt Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind).
Sharon was thinking only of herself and her own pain. That’s not a heroine, and a heroine is who you want Sharon to be. Stronger and tougher isn’t better, and it’s not Sharon. You want her back the way she was. And if that means a return to her doormat days, so be it. Sharon won’t mind.
