Everything is coming up, well, lilies, for Billy and Lily on The Young and the Restless. They’re working together. They’re living together. Billy’s kids love her. Lily’s kids are… somewhere else. Could this be a long-term Genoa City couple? What almost 3,000 voters told us:
A majority 66% of the audience expects Billy (Jason Thompson) to screw up this relationship the same way he screwed up all of his previous ones. He and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) could never make it work, no matter how many times they gave it a try. Neither could he and Mac (Kelly Kruger), or he and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford).
And his flirtation with Amanda (Mishael Morgan) went absolutely nowhere. All due to Billy’s inability to be happy with what he has, rather than always wondering what better deal might be out there. He and Lily (Christel Khalil) are blissful now. But he’ll get bored… and restless… sooner rather than later.
Less than half of you, 23%, on the other hand, think Billy and Lily are perfect for each other. She calms him down, he turns her on. She’s chill every time Victoria throws a little barb their way but doesn’t allow herself to be pushed over, either. Maybe if Billy isn’t constantly being made to feel like he doesn’t measure up, he can rise to the occasion. Lily makes him want to be a better man. Because she doesn’t tell him he’s not.
A last-place 11% of voters have faith in Billy and Lily – as long as Victoria stays out of their way. Only a few months ago, she claimed to still be in love with Billy. But now that she has Ashland (Richard Burgi) to distract her, Victoria will realize how not worth her time – and efforts – Billy really is. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
