Here’s The Surprising Person Who Will Run Abbott Chancellor With Billy On Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless viewers know that Billy Abbott has a wishy-washy past, and he’s made lots of mistakes. However, Jason Thompson believes his on-screen alter ego has a real reason to preserve Abbott Chancellor, and it’s not all about Billy’s ego. While he seems to have fully parted ways with Lily, there is somebody who will run Abbott Chancellor with Billy. It might not be who you think, either.

The Mom Effect

Thompson recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest. He said, “At the end of the day, [Billy’s] going to do and drop everything to try and do right by his mom. I believe that gives him carte blanche to do whatever he needs to do. Billy finds himself basically on somewhat of an island, but in his mind, he has to make decisions in order to make sure that he stays in control of Abbott Chancellor.

“He really does believe in himself and what he’s capable of — if other people would just get out of the way and let him do what he feels is the right thing to do and follow through with his plan without anyone trying to sabotage it or stab him in the back or lie to him and defeat him.”

While Billy’s past doesn’t exactly bode well for his future success, it’s never too late for his fortune to change. Thompson hinted that somebody unexpected steps up to take a role beside him at Chancellor Abbott. “There’s someone else who steps up and wants to do it with him.”

We certainly don’t think that will be Kyle (Michael Mealor) or Jack (Peter Bergman). There’s always the off chance that Tucker might return, but we doubt it. We think we have seen a tease of who Billy’s new partner will be on social media recently.

Courtney Hope (Sally) recently posted a photo of herself alongside Billy, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), and Adam (Mark Grossman). She asked fans what they think will happen next? Soap Hub thinks that Sally will work with Billy to block Adam and Victor (Eric Braeden) from taking over Abbott Chancellor. We even think Jill (Jess Walton) will regain her health and possibly help ensure her son’s success.
