On The Young and the Restless, Adam asked Chelsea to remove the restraining order keeping him from Connor. It’s summertime, he needs to come home from boarding school, and Chelsea is busy being crazy. Chelsea responded by shrieking crazily about how that’s never going to happen.
Does she realize that Adam (Mark Grossman) holds all the cards here? Even if he wasn’t a Newman, no longer criminal dad beats in a mental institution mom pretty much any day of the week. Does Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) deserve to lose her son? What many budding King Solomons have decreed:
Chelsea wasn’t thinking about Connor (Judah Mackey) when she got Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to help her frame Adam for trying to kill Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), 42% of the audience remind. Rey almost died. Adam had to go on the run (and lost a kidney along the way, though that’s not on Chelsea). Chelsea doesn’t deserve to walk away scot-free, especially when she obviously put her son ahead of her obsession with revenge.
A more fair-minded 33% of you think she and Adam could share custody… as long as Chelsea gets some professional help. And we mean real professional help. Not a flunky Victor (Eric Braeden) hired to help her escape going to prison. That guy is probably an out-of-work actor. Chelsea needs to admit what she did before she can move on and heal.
Finally, 25% are on Team Chelsea. She loves her son, and she didn’t do him any harm. Sure, he was shipped off to school to avoid a scandal she caused, but, hey – motherhood and apple pie! Besides, Adam was clearly flirting with Sharon (Sharon Case) even when he claimed to be committed to Chelsea, so he had it coming? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
