On The Young and the Restless, Adam was not pleased to hear that the professed love of his life, Chelsea, was remarried.
When Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) dropped into Genoa City, Adam (Mark Grossman) was even more upset to learn that Calvin had adopted Connor and that Connor thought of Calvin as his dad.
Then Calvin dropped dead. Adam promptly went running to Paul (Doug Davidson) to suggest Chelsea had something to do with it. Paul read the autopsy report and told Chelsea and Nick (Joshua Morrow) that Calvin died of a massive heart attack — Chelsea had nothing to do with it? But did Adam? We let almost 11,000 viewers play CSI:
First Man
Of course, he did, 78% of the fans are ready to throw the book at Victor’s (Eric Braeden) black sheep son. Adam wanted Calvin out of Chelsea and Connor’s lives. Now Calvin is out of Chelsea and Conn-r’s lives. That’s awfully convenient…for Adam.
Paul is hardly the world’s smartest cop, and we have to assume the Genoa City Medical Examiner’s office isn’t world-class. Think of how many bodies they’ve misidentified over the years.
It’s entirely possible that they got Calvin’s cause of death right but missed what lead to the heart attack in the first place. Dig deeper, folks. Grab some tissue samples and take a closer look. You’ll find Adam’s fingerprints all over the murder weapon.
Not God
Even Adam Newman can’t will another man to have a heart attack — no matter how good like he imagines himself, a smaller contingent, 22%, dismisses. He just got lucky that John Burke, who played Calvin, only signed on for a couple of days.
Also, if Adam had really done something to shorten Calvin’s life, wouldn’t he have pointed that out to Paul — and tried to blame it on Chelsea? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
