Former Y&R star Alyvia Alyn Lind, who portrayed Faith Newman for years, recently found out the fate of her TV show, Chucky.
Alyvia Alyn Lind Learns Chucky’s Fate
The former Faith actress stars in the USA Network/SYFY hit series Chucky. The network recently announced it renewed the television series for a second season, which will air in 2022.
Lind portrays Lexi Cross in the show, which also stars her mother, Barbara Alyn Woods. It originally premiered on both the USA and SYFY networks on October 12, 2021, garnering positive reviews and gaining plenty of fans.
The actress left the role of Faith Newman last spring, and her final airdate as Faith was April 7, 2021. Alyvia Alyn Lind played the daughter of Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) off and on from 2011. Hence, viewers saw her grow up on the show since she’s one of the few characters that avoided catching SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome). The actress turned 14 shortly after leaving the CBS daytime drama.
Gotta Have Faith
In the past, when Lind worked on other projects, she often took a hiatus from Y&R or shared the role with actress McKenna Grace. This time, her departure seems different, though. Actress Reylynn Caster, who is 18, stepped into the role of Faith, who seems a bit older these days. Most recently, the Newman grandchild is dating Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines). Faith also provided a listening ear for her brother, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), when he opened up about his London heartbreak.
Soap Hub wishes Alyvia Alyn Lind and the cast of Chucky the best in the show’s second season. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
