Former Y&R Star Scott Elrod Joins Chicago Fire!

I t won’t be long before former The Young and the Restless bad boy Scott Elrod (ex-Joe Clark) makes his next primetime appearance. While his soap days are behind him for now, he’s gearing up for a hot new role on a fiery hit show.

Celebrity Status!
Elrod is joining the cast of NBC’s Chicago Fire for a multi-episode story arc. He’ll play Travis Brenner, a gorgeous playboy lifestyle celebrity. Brenner’s living life on the wild side with a million Instagram followers hanging off his every post. The actor took to the Internet service himself to share a picture from the set (see below).

Chicago Fire’s new season premieres Oct. 11.

We’ll Always Remember These Days!
Elrod left Y&R after a year-long run as Avery’s (Jessica Collins) dangerous ex-husband, Joe. The millionaire business mogul couldn’t win back her heart after months of trying and made the move to target Lily (Christel Khalil) instead. He left Genoa City after receiving a 10-year prison sentence for setting up Cane (Daniel Goddard) for extortion and nearly raping Lily.

Since his departure, Elrod went on to star on the hit show Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. William Thorpe. He was Meredith’s love interest for a short time, and fans hope he’ll return to steal her heart.
