On The Young and the Restless, Mackenzie acted as a surrogate to help Cane and Lily bring Charlie and Mattie into the world. Now, one of the many Macs, Rachel Kimsey, has given birth in real life.
Congratulations, Rachel Kimsey
On Sunday, January 12, Kimsey shared the news that her second child, Sutton, had been born. “This little stunner is here and taking her corner of the world by storm,” the proud mama posted.
“We are buried in the exhausting first days but Sutton is already showing us her personality and her fiery spirit. She’s going to be a force to be reckoned with and we couldn’t love her more.”
During Kimsey’s time as Mac in Genoa City, the character shared an on-again/off-again romance with J.T. (Thad Luckinbill). Since leaving YR, Kimsey’s embarked on new ventures including voice acting, teaching, and coaching.
On the actress’s website, she says, “[Y]ou’ll most likely find me behind a microphone or on a set, doing VoiceOver for Cartoons, Video Games, TV and Radio or making Film and Television.
“If I’m not there look for me at the BGB Studio where I teach acting and coach auditions. Wherever you find me, chances are I’ll have a smile on my face and a plan for a new adventure.”
In addition to playing Mac on YR, Kimsey also played Meredith Hudson on Days of our Lives in 2006. Post-soaps, she’s voiced the role of Wonder Woman (AKA Diana Prince) on the animated series Justice League Action. She also voiced the role of the Amazon princess on Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?
Soap Hub sends heartfelt congratulations to Kimsey, her husband, Matthew Waterson, and Sutton’s big brother, Everly Rian, who was born on March 19, 2018, on the latest addition to their family. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
