He’s played, arguably, one of the best written characters on The Young and the Restless since 1991. And, this weekend Christian LeBlanc is celebrating a personal milestone — his birthday!
LeBlanc was born on August 25, 1958 in New Orleans, LA. He joined the top-rated soap in a storyline that was ahead of its time when he was cast as sexual harassing attorney Michael Baldwin, who thought he could get anything he wanted — and that included pressuring new lawyer Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) into having sex!
After the storyline played out (with Michael getting busted), the character went off to prison. In a rare move, the show rehabilitated the villain, sprung him from jail, and reintegrated him back into Genoa City society.
Crafty Michael strategically gave up one of his kidneys to Danny (Michael Damian), which prompted Christine to look at him in a new light. Michael’s been paired with many of Genoa City’s leading ladies including Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) before finding true love Lauren Fenmore, played by Tracey Bregman.
During his tenure on Y&R, LeBlanc has won three Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2005, 2007, and 2009.
The actor’s also an illustrator and is working on a children’s book.
Soap Hub joins LeBlanc’s family, friends, and fans in wishing the celebrated star a happy birthday and many happy returns!
