Kelly Kruger has been making frequent returns as Mac on The Young and the Restless, and her most recent appearance this week will fuel the ongoing mystery of J.T.’s disappearance. Here are some fun facts you may not know about Mac!
A Place To Call Home
Mac (originally, Ashley Bashioum, now Kelly Kruger) was introduced when Katherine Chancellor (the late Jeanne Cooper) and she were both staying at the same homeless shelter.
Initially, Kay had no idea that Mac was her granddaughter, her parents being Kay’s son Brock (Beau Kazer) and Amanda Browning (Denice Duff).
Mac Attack
Jill (Jess Walton) didn’t approve of Mac’s relationship with her son, Billy (then Ryan Brown, now Jason Thompson). She preferred Billy be paired with Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland).
The joke was on Jill, however, when Mac was crowned prom king, pairing her with “King” Billy!
Danger, Danger
Mac’s life faced peril when Ralph Hunnicutt (Daniel Quinn), her abusive stepdad, came to town to terrorize both Mac and her mom. Fortunately, Billy and ex-convict Larry Warton (David “Shark” Fralick) came to Mac’s rescue!
Mother’s Day
Mac (Clementine Ford) returned to Genoa City as Billy (then Billy Miller) was about to wed Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Mac went on to act as surrogate mother to her pals Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) and brought their twins to term.
Off-Camera Abuse
Later, Mac and J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) fell back in love, got married, and left town. Over time, J.T. changed and became abusive. Now, Mac’s return may lead to answers about what really happened to J.T.!
After that’s resolved, it’d be great to see Mac stick around town. She’s Katherine Chancellor’s granddaughter and heir! She could move into the much-missed family mansion, spend time with her cousin, Devon (Bryton James), and continue the family legacy!
