Conner Floyd: The New Chance Chancellor
One — The new Chance Chancellor actor, Conner Floyd is a daytime newcomer. While he hasn’t had a soap opera gig before, he does have several acting credits to his name. He appeared in a 2018 TV mini-series called My Girlfriend Is Black and a TV movie called Malicious Motives to name just two of his projects. Others include a whole host of shorts, pilots, and appearances in TV shows. He also portrays Cole in the upcoming Micah Lyons-western called Bad Men Must Bleed.
Two — Floyd often shares bits of his life on Instagram. Sometimes he gives fans sneak peeks of his behind-the-scenes acting work. He shared several different photos and short clips while filming Bad Men Must Bleed, which is always appreciated.
Three — Several of Floyd’s Instagram posts feature throwback photos of him in a Tulsa Golden Hurricane uniform. In one, he mentioned that he misses the good old days of playing college football on the team. The official Tulsa Golden Hurricane site shows that Floyd, number 80, played his senior year with the team in 2015, and after sitting out his true freshman year, he got minutes in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. It seems that acting was his plan B.
Four — The new Y&R cast member is dating Carly Frei. She owns Glow Boss, which is a mobile spray-tan service. Frei’s no stranger to showbusiness because her sister is actress Chelsea Frei.
Five — Originally from Texas, the 29-year-old soap opera star went to Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas where he played high school football with Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield. He currently lives in Los Angeles, which is where Y&R films. It appears as if he and his on-screen wife, Melissa Ordway (Abby Chancellor) have become friends while shooting the soap.
