On The Young and the Restless, Abby believes she is all set with a biological father for her baby. But, as Abby (Eileen Davidson) admitted to Victor (Eric Braeden), Abby likes to be in control of all things, and if something goes wrong, she might not be able to handle it. Which is why we decided to double-check with several thousand of fans: Who should be the father of her baby?
Hot Husband
What’s your hurry, 53% of the audience is wondering. Chance’s (Donny Boaz) doctor said that his fertility issues might resolve, so why not give it a little time and see if that does happen. Chance going out of town on a mission is perfect for giving his body time to heal. When he returns you might be able to actually have a child that’s biologically both of theirs!
Brotherly Love
A smaller 34% of the fans think the donor should be a close family member. How about Chance’s half-brother, Ronan? We don’t know where he is or what he’s up to now, but he’s actually a blood relative of Chance’s, unlike Devon (Bryton James), whose grandmother was married to – and killed – Chance’s grandfather. That doesn’t make them related, and it won’t make Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) baby connected to him.
Stick To It
A last place, 13% agreed with Abby’s choice to use Devon’s sperm to have a baby. However, that might cause a few problems. There’s the fact that every time Amanda (Mishael Morgan) asks Devon to articulate exactly what he expects from the relationship with the child, he can’t do it. This is just asking for trouble. What if Abby’s wishes don’t match with Devon’s. Not only will this ruin a friendship and lead to a break in the family, but it will ultimately hurt the child.
