Cane (Daniel Goddard) risked everything with his recent string of strange choices and bizarre behavior on The Young and the Restless (YR).
First, he got drunk in Tokyo and at least believes he slept with Juliet (Laur Allen), and then, ever since he’s returned to Genoa City, Cane seems hellbent on bringing Billy (Jason Thompson) down. In fact, he seems determined to take over Brash and Sassy altogether.
Plus, he’s also loudly talking to Juliet about their one night way too often, and of course, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) overheard. Somebody was bound to, so why not that big mouth with the big platform?
Soap Hub asked what you think of his unexpected behavior, and the results are in!
Extremely Moronic
For 98% of you, Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) behavior these past few months has been extremely moronic. You cannot understand why he would take such risks for such small payoff.
Why would he ever allow himself to get so drunk in a foreign country with a woman he doesn’t know well? Why does he need to oust Billy and take over Brash and Sassy (or even share it with Victoria)?
Is he struggling with an addiction to pain pills? Perhaps, he’s having a mid-life crisis — after all, he has teens now. Regardless of the reasons, his behavior simply doesn’t make sense. Any possible reward isn’t worth the extreme risks he’s taken.
Leave Cane Alone
That leaves 2% of you who believe that Cane’s behavior is rational.
Perhaps you can see that he’s driven and needs to prove himself not only to everybody else but also to himself. Maybe you think waking up one morning to teenaged twins is enough to make anybody do unexpected things.
Whatever the reason, you don’t think he’s been too out of character lately.
