It was the best of times, it was the worst of times on The Young and the Restless in 2016.

We know what your favorite storylines were in 2016. Now it’s time for over 5,000 viewers to sound off on what they liked least. Except, spoiler alert: Some of the stories are the same! Check out the breakdown below!

Am I My Brother’s Keeper?
It was a Genoa City Civil War with brother against brother, as Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy’s (Jason Thompson) affair set off a battle royale with Jack (Peter Bergman), and had fans seeing “Red” – but not in a good way. (Maybe that’s why Phyllis ended up dying her hair blonde?) Some 38% of you picked this triangle as the worst the show had to offer in 2016.

Revenge is a Dish Best Served Fiery
While hardly anyone blames Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) for wanting revenge against Adam (Justin Hartley) for her daughter, Delia’s, death, 32% are not enthralled by the way she went about it. Shooting him and leaving Adam to die (presumably) in a fire might be considered a bit extreme. Wouldn’t it have been more fun to keep him alive and watch him suffer?

Onward, Christian Soldiers
It is a cardinal rule of soaps that if two babies are due to be born at the same time, someone is going home with the wrong set of parents. So when Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) son, Christian, arrived prematurely while Sharon (Sharon Case) thought she was pregnant with Dylan’s (Steve Burton) baby, no one was too surprised when the tot ended up renamed Sully and raised by Nick’s ex-wife and her cop husband. They also were not particularly amused. For 29% of you, this was the year’s story stinker.

All Together Now
But there was a 4th option. Other. For 1% of viewers – that’s almost 100 votes – the only answer to the question of: The Worst Storyline on YR in 2016 proved to be: All of the above. Ouch.
