It’s been months since we’ve seen Doug Davidson as Paul on The Young and the Restless, as the actor was dropped to recurring status early last year. But, it looks like that’s about to change.
Davidson told fans via Twitter last summer that he was off contract and had no scheduled tape dates and fans were outraged, as the actor had been a Genoa City regular and familiar face for four decades.
As for colleagues, perhaps nobody was more outraged (or at least more vocal about it) than co-star Eric Braeden. He made no secret how he felt about Davidson’s treatment, but on Friday evening, he seemed to have good news.
“He’s back,” was all Braeden had to tweet by a photo of he and Davidson on the YR set for the fandom to cheer.
While Braeden gives no details on how long Davidson is back for and in what capacity, the pair certainly look happy to be where they are.
If you recall, Paul was the detective who started the JT investigation last April, and Rey looks to be the one finishing it. But, with Phyllis looking to make a deal with Paul’s wife, Christine, he might be needed to see this thing through.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
