The Young and the Restless started a series of on-set celebrations commemorating milestone years for its performers back in the late 90s. But did the show recently miss one?
Doug Davidson (Paul) was given a tribute acknowledging his 20 years on the show in 1998. Jeanne Cooper (ex-Katherine), who first aired on Y&R in 1974, was also thrown a party on-set celebrating her 25 years on the show around the same time.
The show has continued this tradition. Most recently, Tracey Bregman (Lauren) was honored for being on Y&R since 1983. Jess Walton (Jill) celebrated 30 years in Genoa City last year.
In the past, Eric Braeden (Victor) has been honored, too. In fact, one of his on-set tributes was highly attended by cast past and present!
Braeden recently received some acknowledgments from fans on social media commemorating his 38th anniversary. As that wasn’t a milestone year, there was no on-set celebration.
This was something that the Emmy-winning actor couldn’t help but poke fun at! He tweeted that no one at work recalled his special day, showing just what a sense of humor he has!
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
Happy anniversary Victor your the best????. You are what makes Y&R they can’t keep the show going if Victor isn’t on it!!!!
