Couples on The Young and the Restless are constantly making up and breaking up. Sometimes it’s a sad day. Other times, the fans are thrilled. Which pairing would almost 3,000 of you like to say goodbye to – for the last time?

A little over half of you, 51%, are so over Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). They never work out. Whether it’s because they’re fighting over her butting into Summer’s (Hunter King) life, or one of their cheats, or, Sharon (Sharon Case) continues to exist.
This time around, they seem particularly dull. And, while, in the real world, we’re all for couples having separate interests, these two barely seem to be living in the same town, much less experiencing the same relationship.

It’s not only the difficulty of coming up with a decent couple’s name, that is making 29% of the audience cheer for Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lily’s (Christel Khalil) break up. It’s that we… don’t get it. Do they have chemistry? Some. Do they have things in common? Some. But this is a soap.

Couples aren’t supposed to be just OK together. They’re supposed to be a love for the ages. We’ve seen Billy and Lily with a partner they can’t live without. We know what that looks like. We know that this ain’t that.

A last-place 20% are calling for an end to Sharon and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso). They only got married because she bullied him into proposing after feeling afraid that she’ll never get over her attraction to Adam (Mark Grossman).
So they married based on a lie. And Sharon has kept lying ever since. They keep promising to do better, try harder. And then they make the same mistakes over and over again.
