End Of the Road: Should Chelsea Dump Adam On The Young and the Restless?

Chelsea is in quite a state on The Young and the Restless. A stroke during surgery led to paralysis and muteness. She was in the hospital, but Adam (Mark Grossman) checked her out Against Medical Advice – because he still resented Nate for helping to fake Victor’s (Eric Braeden) death in order to smoke out Adam’s murder plot.

The Young and the Restless Polling

Now Chelsea is at Adam’s mercy. He hasn’t even told Connor (Judah Mackey) just how sick his mom is. And he also hasn’t told Chelsea how, the night she was having her attack, Adam was lurking at Sharon (Sharon Case) and Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) wedding. Because Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) had taunted him about Sharon being the true love of his life, not Chelsea.

In light of all that, should Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) dump the bum – as soon as she’s herself again? What over 4,000 viewers told us:

Fool’s Gold

This was a bad match from the start, 65% of you remind. Adam has emotionally abused Chelsea for years. And, more recently, he had her kidnapped. That’s not love. That’s, at best, obsession, at worst, criminal.

Chelsea should get away from him as soon as possible. Maybe she can send a message to her new physical therapist (Dana Sparks). And go back to the hospital, where she belongs. Before this turns into the daytime version of Misery.

Soul To Soul

A smaller 35% of the audience sees Chelsea and Adam as a couple for the ages, soulmates who get each other, who are destined to be together forever. Sure, he’s kidnapped her. But that was just because she stopped worshipping and supporting him and actually expressed disagreement with his plan to blow up Victor – and anyone who happened to be standing next to him.

But that was just a blip on the radar. He’s taking care of her now. What else does she need? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
