Eileen Davidson has been bringing it in her performances as a wronged Ashley doing what many think is the wrong thing to enact her revenge on The Young and the Restless.
The scenes between Davidson and Peter Bergman as Jack on Monday were Emmy-worthy, proving soap vets always have what it takes to make any storyline compelling, even if it seems out of character to some fans.
For Davidson’s exit story as Ashley, we learn Jack really is an Abbott after all and Ashley set up an entire elaborate scam with forged DNA tests and the works to make Jack believe he wasn’t John’s biological son, just as she isn’t John’s biological daughter.
Jack kicking Ashley out of Jabot using a Blood Abbott Clause in the company bylaws hit Ashley to her core and prompted her to play this dirty trick on her brother.
Davidson is thrilled by fan reaction to Monday’s intense episode, showing us what soaps are all about (and what Emmys are made for), but wait, there’s more.
The actress promises more “twists and turns” in this story before she takes her final bow as Ashley and we can’t wait. Bring it on as Soap Hub and the Y&R fandom are glued to the screen.
See what Davidson has to say in the tweet below.
