Don Diamont Announces Return Airdate to The Young and the Restless

It’s one of the most anticipated moments in soaps in the year 2021! We’re talking about Don Diamont’s return to The Young and the Restless! His YR appearance was supposed to have aired last week, but an impeachment trial got in the way.

Now, Diamont shares that his YR appearance is set for Thursday, February 18. While the fan-favorite will always be known for his YR run from 1985 to 2009 as Brad Carlton, he’s going to be appearing on the hour-long soap as “Dollar” Bill Spencer, his character from The Bold and the Beautiful.

“After last week’s preemptions the day for @boldandbeautifulcbs $Bill’s visit to @youngandrestlesscbs is upon us!!!” Diamont exclaimed on Instagram. “Tune in ‼️THURSDAY ‼️everyone!!! After a 12 year hiatus, it was so fun working with my dear friends, and former castmates, Peter Bergman [Jack] and @traceybregman1‼️❤️ [Lauren] DON’T MISS IT!!!”

Viewers will have to tune in to see if either Jack or Lauren — two characters heavily involved in Brad’s life — make a comment about Bill’s resemblance to the late executive. As YR viewers recall, Jack and Brad were often at odds; Jack purposely tried to sabotage Brad’s career at Jabot after he started dating his sister Traci (Beth Maitland).

The two women, however, conspired to take down mutual nemesis Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) on occasion. Meanwhile, Lauren (Tracey Bregman) had had an affair with Brad at one point. Her nemesis Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) took a photo of Brad and Lauren in bed. She had it blown up and cut up into jigsaw piece puzzles and tortured Lauren by sending her the puzzle, piece by piece.

Ironically, Diamont, as Brad, once appeared on BB, but now, he’s that show’s Bill. Will Bill also cross paths with Sally (Courtney Hope) now that she’s living in Genoa City? As BB viewers recall, Bill and Sally battled for control of the building that was home to Spectra Fashions, Sally’s company. Bill wanted to blow up the building so he could erect a new skyscraper on that land. Sally almost died when Bill hit the detonator, not knowing both Sally and his son Liam (Scott Clifton) were still inside!
