Is Someone Else Pulling Chelsea’s Strings On The Young And The Restless?

The Young and the Restless (YR) fans knew Chelsea was a con artist from her early days. We were reminded of that when Jordan came town and their past as a quick-talking team was revealed.

Now, we’ve learned that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) has been stealing again — this time from her own company, Chelsea 2.0. Is someone forcing her to do this? Soap Hub asked Y&R fans to speculate on this theory.

Behind The Scenes
The majority of you, almost 54%, think that someone is manipulating Chelsea into committing this fraud against her own company. It’s hard to think that money is the motive.

Wasn’t she left a well-off widow after Adam (Justin Hartley) died? Didn’t he have money that would keep her sitting pretty for life? If Chelsea is looking to make money, why not encourage Nick (Joshua Morrow) to get married?

Evil Genius
The rest of you, a little over 46%, think that Chelsea is acting on her own.

She’s certainly a formidable force and has been ever since her introduction.

We learned that she got great con artist training for her savvy mama Anita (Catherine Bach). The way Chelsea’s mostly been one step ahead of everyone shows that she thinks fast on her feet! But can even she elude the accusations leveled against her by Phyllis (Gina Tognoni)?

Surprise Twist
Egan has already announced her exit from Y&R so one way or another Chelsea’s going to have to make a run for it or be sent to jail. (Unless the show goes the recast route.)

Will Connor and Christian go with her? Will we ever see Anita again? And will someone from her past make a surprise re-appearance to help her get away? There are a lot of questions that need to be answered. Stayed tuned to Y&R to see how it all plays out!
